Apple Tree Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the west side of Thursley Road in Elstead. The building features a timber frame clad in rubble, with parts that are colourwashed, and brick dressings on the ground floor. Above, the cottage is tile hung, with some tiles arranged in U shapes and diamond patterns. It has a plain tiled, half-hipped roof and stands two storeys tall, with a prominent multiple ridge stack positioned to the right of centre. The windows are wood framed with leaded casements, comprising four on the first floor and three on the ground floor. There is a planked door situated to the right of centre. At the rear right, there is a parallel range extension made of Bargate stone.
