Description
Turmer Hall is a house dating from the 17th century, with early 19th-century parallel ranges added to the rear. It is constructed of brick, rendered and roughcast, with a pantiled roof. The early range is two storeys high and has a two-cell plan, likely originally designed as a lobby-entry plan.
On the ground floor, there is a plinth, and the original door opening has been blocked. To the left, there is a 4-pane sash window, and to the right, a 20th-century top-opening light window, along with a 20th-century panelled door at the extreme right. The first floor features 4-pane sashes on both the left and right, a small lancet window with a sill above the former door, and a 20th-century replacement window to the right. The house has an external end stack to the right and a massive axial stack, with raised coped gables.
