Description

Wyton Lodge is an early 19th-century house situated in Bilton Wyton. The house is constructed of grey brick in Flemish bond, with stone dressings, and has a slate roof. The symmetrical front elevation features three bays, with the central bay projecting slightly. The main entrance is a six-panel double-leaf door within a rusticated surround, topped by a dentilled pediment and flanked by round-headed side-lights with glazing bars. Ground-floor sash windows with glazing bars are set beneath cambered, gauged-brick arches. A sill band marks the first-floor level. Above the door is a sash window set within a round-headed opening, flanked to either side by similar sashes with radial glazing in square-headed openings, each with rosettes in the spandrels, all under cambered, gauged brick arches. The roof is hipped, with axial stacks projecting through overhanging eaves.
