Description
The Constable Arms Public House is a late 18th-century building, possibly with earlier origins, located on the north side of Sproatley along B 1238. It features later additions at the rear. The exterior is rendered and colourwashed, topped with a pantiled roof. The structure is two storeys high and consists of three bays. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century boarded door to the left, flanked by two 16-pane sash windows, each set under cambered heads. The rightmost window is a sash with glazing bars, while the extreme right window is a 16-pane sash, both also under cambered heads. The first floor has three 16-pane sash windows, all under cambered heads as well. The building has axial stacks and raised coped gables.
