Description
Southfield Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with a later rear wing. It is constructed of brick that has been colour-washed, topped with a cast tile roof. The building is two storeys high and has four bays arranged in a 1:1:2 pattern.
On the ground floor, there is a sill band. The original entrance has been replaced by a 4-pane sash window, which sits beneath a flat gauged brick arch with a projecting keyblock. To the right, there are two additional 4-pane sash windows, also under similar arches, while a 20th-century replacement window is located to the left.
On the first floor, there is a 20th-century replacement window to the left and three 4-pane sash windows to the right, all positioned beneath flat gauged brick lintels with projecting keyblocks. The house features axial stacks and a hipped roof, with the current entrance located at the rear wing. Additionally, there is a plinth and a first-floor band on the left gable.
