Description

Court Cottage is a cottage row dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. The left side of the building is timber-framed with exposed timbers and brick infill; the right side is constructed of ironstone rubble with brick dressings and tile hanging above. The roof is tiled, with a stack positioned to the left of centre and another at the right end. The building is two storeys high, with exposed square panels and bracing on the left and centre. The fenestration is irregular, featuring five casement windows across the first floor, all leaded except one to the right of centre. A part-glazed planked door, leading to Court Cottage, is situated at the left end and is sheltered by a thin, flat porch hood supported by brackets. A similar planked door to the left of centre and a further planked door to the right, also under flat porch hoods on brackets, complete the façade (Nos. 52-54).
