Description

This is a late 17th-century house, now divided into retail and residential accommodation. Originally known as The Post Office and Rose Cottage, it is located on the north side of High Street in Bletchingley. The front of the building is rendered brick, with red and blue brickwork, and tile hanging above. It has a hipped roof covered in plain tiles, with a central ridge stack and end stacks. The house is two storeys high, with five casement windows on the first floor. The right-hand window is part of an angled bay. On the ground floor, there is a shop front to the right, with a flat roof. A half-glazed leaded door is positioned to the right end, another under a flat hood supported by brackets is in the centre, and a further half-glazed door to the left end (number 34). Wings extend at right angles to the rear of the building.
