Description
Cucksey's Farm House is a house dating from around 1700, which was restored in 1959. It is constructed of red and blue brick and features an M-shaped center with valley roofs and large end stacks at the rear. The house is situated on a hilltop and has three storeys and an attic on the left side, while the center and right sides have two storeys and an attic. The gable ends face the lane. The attics are fitted with three gabled casement dormers on the return fronts and in the gables of the entrance front. There are three casement windows on the first floor. A glazed door is located to the left of center, set within a Doric portico that has an open pediment. On the left-hand return front, there is a tall narrow arched casement window that rises through two storeys to the right, and a part-glazed door is positioned to the right of center. Inside, the house features heavy ceiling beams with end corbels, and some posts are visible.
