Description
This building, known as No. 98, is a house located on the A3090 in Hursley. It dates from the 17th century but was refronted in the 18th century. The structure is timber-framed, encased and extended in brick, topped with an old plain tile roof. It is two stories high and has three bays, with a bay and stable added to the left side. The entrance features a planked door with a segmental head and a flat hood supported by an iron bracket, situated between the left bays of the older part of the building.
On either side, there are early 19th-century three-light cast iron casements with segmental heads. The right bay contains a 20th-century window in a segmental opening, while the added left bay has a two-light lozenge pane casement. On the first floor, there are two and three-light cast iron casements, and the stable bay is blank. The roof is hipped to the left, with a ridge stack positioned between the right bays and another at the left end of the older section.
