Description
The Dolphin Inn is a public house that dates back to the 17th century but was refronted in the early 18th century. It features a timber frame encased in brick, with the front colourwashed, and has an old plain tile roof. The building is two stories high with five bays and a stack bay, along with a wing at the rear center. It stands on a plinth and has a 5-flush-panel door from the 18th century, set in a solid frame with a segmental head, located to the right of the center. The other bays and the stack bay contain 19th-century casements with three or four lights and segmental heads. On the first floor, there are three 19th-century three-light casements. The roof is steeply pitched, and to the left of the center, there is a large chimney featuring three 19th-century longitudinally set diamond shaft stacks, with two similar stacks at the right end.
