Description
Hursley Antiques and Hursley Bakery is a 17th-century house that has been converted into a pair of shops. It was refronted in the late 18th century and extended in the 19th century. The building features a timber frame encased in brick with an old plain tile roof. It has three bays of timber framing, with an additional bay for the shop added to the right, and stands at one and a half storeys.
The original building has a planked door with a solid segmental head frame located to the right of the center. On either side of this door are early 19th-century cast iron casements with segmental heads, and there are three and one-light casements in the left bay. The right bay features a 19th-century shop front with three large panes, a blind box, and a planked door similar to the one on the left. Above the central door, there are large 20th-century three-light casements with heads in a gabled dormer. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and hipped on the right. There is a large chimney stack between the left bays and another stack at the right end of the original building.
