Description
Nos. 93 and 94 on the A3090 are cottages that were originally a pair, with a core dating back to the 16th century and alterations made in the late 18th century. The building features a timber-frame core that is encased in brick, topped with a plain tile roof. It is a three-bay structure with a smoke bay and an additional bay on the right, which has been refronted in brick. The front of the building has four bays and is one and a half stories high, with a plinth at the base.
There are 18th-century doors located between the bays on both sides, which have segmental heads and small moulded flat hoods. Each side of the doors and at the left end are two-light cast iron casements with lozenge panes. The building also has a toothed eaves cornice and features three irregularly spaced gabled dormers, each with three-light casements similar to the others. The roof is half-hipped and has an approximate central long ridge stack.
