Description

This is a house located at No. 79 on the A3090 in Hursley. It dates from the 17th century but was refronted in the 18th century and altered in the 19th century. The building features a timber frame with a brick front that has been rendered with incised lines, and it has a tile-hung end. The roof is covered with old plain tiles. The house is two stories high with three bays and a chimney/passage bay.

To the right of the center, there is a six-flush panel door with a rectangular fanlight above it, set within a moulded doorcase that has plain console brackets supporting an open pediment. The windows on both floors are 19th-century paired sashes, and there is a small sash window above the door. The roof has a steep pitch and a large ridge stack located immediately to the left of the passage.
