Description

This is a 17th-century house, located on the west side of the A3090 in Hursley. It is timber-framed with plaster infill and has an old plain tile roof. The house is two storeys high, with jettied construction and originally two bays, although a narrow passage bay with doors on each floor links it to the adjacent property at No. 97. A door is located at the inner end of the right bay. In each bay, there are 18th-century two-light oriel windows with leaded glass. A brick pier with a corbelled top of moulded brick stands at the left end, underneath the jetty, which is supported by plain brackets. On the first floor are two early 19th-century two-light cast iron casements containing lozenge-shaped panes of glass. A small chimney stack is positioned above the door.
