Description
This is a mid-19th century house located on the A3090 in Hursley. The building is constructed of brick, with some areas tile-hung, and features an old plain tile roof. It has a cruciform plan consisting of three bays, with a rear wing and a projecting porch at the front. The entrance is marked by a three-centred, two-order arch leading to a planked door that has decorated strap hinges.
Above the porch, the first floor is jettied all around and tile-hung, featuring a three-light oriel window supported by finialled brackets and topped with a hipped roof that has decorated bargeboards. On each side of the building, there are three-light cast iron casement windows. All windows are fitted with lozenge panes and have rubbed brick arches above them. The gable ends are kneelered, and at each end, as well as on the end of the wing, there are pairs of moulded brick stacks.
