Description

Nos. 1, 2, and 3 Little Green is a house that has been extended and is now divided into three dwellings. It likely dates from the 16th century, with heating and flooring added in the 17th century, and further extensions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building features a timber frame with red brick nogging and extensions, and it is covered with tilehanging and a tiled roof. Originally, it consisted of a three-bay open hall, with two additional bays added to the right in two stages. The structure is two storeys high, with entrances located in the first, third, and fourth bays from the left.

On the ground floor, there are 20th-century bracketed bays and a two-light casement window. The first floor features two canted oriel windows on the left, while to the right, three-light casements flank one of the two-light windows. The left side of the building shows exposed framing, while the right side has sham timbers painted on brick. The left return has a 17th-century external stack with an oven added to the front, which has been partly rebuilt. There is a cross axial ridge stack at the original right end, along with another ridge stack and one on the front pitch. The right return and the rear right display 19th-century black brick diapering. At the rear, the earlier range has exposed framing, while the later additions are covered in tilehanging.

Inside, No. 3 features a ground floor stop-chamfered binding beam and a clasped purlin roof.
