Description
Collarmakers is a cottage that was originally a pair, dating from the 17th century and extended in the 18th century. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill, all of which is colourwashed, and has an old plain tile roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of four bays, with the right-hand two bays from the 17th century. There is a doorway between the right-hand and left-hand bays; the right doorway is blocked, while the left has a planked door under an open gabled timber porch. Each bay has a three-light casement window, with a similar window above in a gabled dormer on the roof. There is an external 18th-century stack at the right end, as well as stacks in the centre and at the left end.
