Description
Pennycot is a house that dates from the 17th century and was altered in the 18th and 19th centuries. It has a timber-frame structure with brick infill, along with some replacement and extension work, and features an old plain tile roof. The house originally consists of three bays, with an additional bay added to each end. The right-hand bay was added in the 19th century, while the right-hand 17th-century bay was reroofed and refaced. The building has various three-light casements in each bay, except for the newly added left-hand bay, which has one and two-light casements. The roof is half-hipped with a low pitch over the right-hand bays. There is a 17th-century stack located at the junction between the bays and at the left-hand end of the frame bays.
