Description
No. 19 Red Lane is a cottage that dates from the 18th and 19th centuries, with an earlier core. It features a timber-frame core that is encased in brick, along with later additions. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has three bays, with the right bay rebuilt in the early 19th century, featuring higher eaves and ridge. There is a 20th-century door to the left of the right bay. The central and left bays have 19th-century two-light casement windows with segmental heads, and there is a blocked segmental head opening in the centre. The left bay contains one and two-light casements. Above the central and right bays, there are two-light gabled dormers. The roof is half-hipped, and there is a large chimney stack to the left of the right bay.
