Description

This is a row of cottages, originally built as almshouses in the early 19th century, and altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick, with a thatched roof. It is two stories tall and comprises six bays, with an outshot at the left-hand end. A pair of gabled brick and tile porches are situated between the second and third bays; originally both had doors, but one now contains a two-light casement window. The outer bays feature three-light casement windows, while the central bays have two-light casements. The first floor of each bay has a two-light casement, and the outshot includes a three-light casement. The roof is hipped and sweeps down to the right. Large ridge stacks are located between the first and second bays and the central bays, with a projecting stack on the outshot.
