Description

The property at 67 Red Lane is an 18th-century cottage. It is constructed of brick with an old plain tile roof, and has a weatherboarded store. The cottage is two storeys high, with two bays, and features a lean-to extension to one end and a store to the other. The front of the cottage has a central 20th-century half-glazed door sheltered by a tiled timber porch. Each side of the front has a three-light casement window set beneath a segmental brick arch. A raised brick band runs across the first floor. The first floor windows are also three-light windows, dating to the 19th century, and are set beneath timber lintels. A toothed cornice runs along the top of the front wall. The roof is hipped, with a central chimney stack. To the left is a hip-roofed store with a lean-to porch at its end, projecting in front of the house. A cast-iron lattice casement window is set into the store wall. At the right end is a hip-roofed lean-to with a two-light casement window.
