Description
Cleves Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with brick infill and rebuilding, topped with a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and has three bays, with an 18th-century outshot to the left and 20th-century additions at each end. The front of the cottage has a planked door located in the left bay, along with a single casement window in this bay and the outshot. The other bays contain two-light casement windows. Above the central bay, there is an eyebrow dormer with a 18th-century two-light leaded casement window. A stack is positioned above this dormer. The roof is half-hipped to the right and sweeps down to the left, featuring a ridge piece and a projecting hood over the door.
