Description
Abrahams Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century, with extensions from the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with plaster and brick infill, along with brick additions, and has a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of three bays plus a smoke/passage bay, with a 20th-century wing added to the rear in the center.
The front of the cottage has a planked door to the right of center, which is accessed through a rustic log and tile hip-roofed porch. On either side of the door, there are thin 5-light casement windows, and in the left bay, there is a 2-light casement window. Above the door, there is a small light under the eaves, while the other bays feature 20th-century 2-light flat-roofed eyebrow dormers. The roof is hipped to the left and half-hipped to the right, with a ridge stack positioned above the doors and a projecting stack at the right end.
