Description
Green End is a cottage dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features a timber frame with plaster infill, which is encased in brick, and has a thatched roof. The building is positioned end on to the road and is 1½ storeys high. It consists of a single bay of timber frame with an additional brick bay at the road end, an outshot added to the other end, and another outshot on the rear side. The road-facing end has a 19th-century top-glazed door in a small timber porch on the right, with a 2-light 19th-century casement window in the center on each floor. The side of the cottage has a central door with a 19th-century 3-light casement window towards the far end, and above it is an eyebrow dormer featuring a 19th-century 2-light casement window. The hipped roof has a small brick ridge stack located towards the far end.
