Description

Northleigh is a cottage dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features a timber frame encased in brick, with a thatched roof and brick stacks. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of three bays, with an 18th-century brick outshot bay to the right. There is a large 20th-century brick porch situated between the left and centre bays. The cottage has 19th-century two and three-light casement windows, along with a 20th-century window in the outshot. Above, there are four irregularly spaced eyebrow dormers that contain 19th-century two-light casements. The roof is hipped and slopes down on the right side. There are stacks located between the centre and right bays, as well as on the left gable.
