Description

The wall and gates to the forecourt of Old Alresford House date from the mid-18th century and are made of brick and wrought iron. The central pair of wrought iron gates features a scroll overthrow and is situated between brick piers that have carved stone vases at the center. This central feature is flanked by short lengths of spear-headed railings on low brick walls, with single outer gates that mirror the design of the central gates, supported by small brick piers and high brick walls beyond.
