Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, which incorporates an earlier building. It is constructed of brick and features an old plain tile roof. The building is a double pile structure with an older section at the rear, standing two storeys high with an attic above a basement. It has five symmetrical bays. The central entrance is a 19th-century door, which is four-panelled and half-glazed, set within a Doric porch made of Portland stone. The windows have rubbed brick arches and Portland stone cills; the ground floor windows were lowered and their glazing altered in the 19th century. The farmhouse has a brick dentil cornice, a parapet, and stone coping. There are two pedimented timber dormers covered with lead, each containing two-light casements. The gable end of the front range features rendered stacks. The building retains its original pointing, with blue headers visible in the basement and on walls other than the front.
