Description
Swan Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located in Old Alresford. It features walls made of rubble flint nodules and has a tree trunk verandah. The roof is covered with plain concrete tiles and has a flint stack. The cottage is designed with two bays and is one and a half stories tall, with its rear facing the road. There is a central plank door situated under an outshot porch. The roof has outshots at both ends leading to the farm verandah. In the left bay, there is a three-light casement window designed as a Venetian window, and to the right, there is another three-light casement window. The roof also includes two sloping roof dormers, each with three-light casements, and a central ridge stack. Originally, the cottage was thatched in a cottage ornee style.
