Description

Pond Cottages is a row of three dwellings located in New Alresford, dating from the 18th century and the early to late 19th century. The front is rendered, while the sides and rear are brick, topped with a tiled roof. The cottages are one storey with an attic and feature one window for each unit. The later front has a regular design with a stucco facade that includes a vermiculated band at the first floor. The windows are casements, and there are flat-roofed dormers with cills at the eaves level. Each cottage has a plain door beneath a simple canopy supported by scroll brackets. The rear of the cottages has extensions, and the interior displays an irregular plan with some timber-framing, indicating an earlier origin.
