Description
This is a row of three cottages located on the east side of South Street in Manningtree. Dating from the 17th century or earlier, the cottages have undergone later alterations and additions. They are timber-framed and plastered with red plain tiled roofs and red brick chimney stacks on the left and right. Rear wings extend from the main structure. The cottages are one storey in height with attics, featuring four flat-headed dormers each containing a 19th-century two-light casement window. A plinth runs along the base. The front elevation contains three vertically sliding sash windows with moulded surrounds, and one fixed window. There are three 20th-century doors, each with a five-step approach.
