Description

No. 40 Brook Street is a small cottage, likely from the 18th century or earlier, that is attached to No. 38. It features a timber frame with pebble dashed plaster and has a red plain tiled roof. The cottage has one storey with attics, and it includes two flat-headed dormers that contain 19th-century two-light casement windows. There are also two 19th-century three-light casement windows. To the left of the right window, there is a panelled door with a simple surround and a step approach. The cottage has chimney stacks on the left and rear right.
