Description

Harley Cottage and Jasmine House are two cottages dating from the 18th to 19th century. They are built of gault brick with a plastered return and feature a pantiled roof. The cottages have two storeys and two rear chimney stacks. The end gables are adorned with bargeboards and finials. There are paired eaves brackets and a moulded brick band underneath. The façade consists of three bays with pilasters between and at the ends.

The cottages have a three-window range of small paned vertically sliding sash windows. The left windows have drip hoods, while the centre and right windows have moulded cornices. Between the two right first-floor windows is a lower-level blocked window with a drip hood. Ornate cast iron cill railings are present at the ground floor on the right.

There is a left segmental headed archway, and the doors on the left and right are panelled. The left door has three moulded panels, reveal panels, and bases to fluted pilasters, along with moulding and patera to the frieze and brackets supporting a flat canopy with a step approach. The right door is a four-panelled design with reveal panels, capitals and bases to fluted half columns, and triglyphs and metopes on the frieze, also with a flat canopy.
