Description
This is a symmetrical pair of early 19th-century houses located on the west side of Broad Street in New Alresford. The buildings are constructed of brick, with a slate roof. They are two storeys high and have a facade of 2.2 windows. The brickwork is in Flemish bond, though the front of number 51 is painted. The ground-floor windows have rubbed flat arches. The windows are Victorian sash windows. Each house has a doorcase featuring a plain hood supported by double scroll brackets and narrow, plain pilasters. The doors are six-panelled with two glazed panels at the top. The pair of houses are prominent as the northern termination of Broad Street.
