Description
The Coffee Tavern is an early 19th-century cottage built in flint with brick dressings and thatched roofs with brick stacks. This cottage orné style building is 1½ storeys high and has two bays, positioned end-on to the road, with wide outshots on each side. The road-facing end features a central gabled thatched porch adorned with carved bargeboards and a 20th-century planked door. On either side of the porch, there are two-light leaded casements with cambered heads. The gable includes a three-light leaded casement with shutters and carved bargeboards. Each end of the outshots has a three-light leaded casement with shutters as well. The roof has a ridge piece and sweeps over the outshots, which are hipped around them. At the point where the outshot roofs begin, there is a pair of diamond stacks with offset heads on each side.
