Description

The Steddles is an 18th and 20th century cottage located in Bighton. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings, and has a concrete tile roof. The cottage is two stories high and comprises four bays, with the left two bays representing the original 18th-century construction, and the right two bays built later to match. A central, gabled porch was added in the 20th century. Each bay on each floor contains a three-light casement window, and between the left bays are two-light casements in a blocked doorway. The roof features eyebrow dormers above the windows, incorporating brick and timber panels, and is half-hipped. Large ridge stacks are located on the inside of the end bays.
