Description
Farley House is a rectory that has been converted into a private house. It dates from the early 18th century and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features colourwashed brick and an old plain tile roof. It is two stories tall and has a six-bay by two-bay layout, with a projecting octagonal two-story bay at the center of the rear and entrances relocated to the ends.
The garden front is two stories with an attic and also has six bays. There are French windows in the bay to the right of center and in the right bay, while the center left bay is blank. The other bays contain 18th-century 16-pane sash windows. On the first floor, there is a blind opening above the blank bay, and the other bays feature 19th-century tripartite sashes, with a central 12-pane sash and strips of single panes in the side sashes. The house has four 20th-century flat roof dormers with six-pane windows. There are 19th-century yellow brick stacks on the ridge near each end, as well as a stack behind the ridge in the center.
