Description
Farley Cottage is a cottage that dates back to the 17th century, with later encasement in the 18th century and alterations made in the 20th century. The structure features a timber frame that has been encased and extended in brick, topped with an old plain tiled roof. It has an L-shaped design with two bay wings that meet at a large ridge stack. The front of the cottage is 1½ storeys high and consists of three bays, with the right bay added in the 20th century. There is a 20th-century door in the center, flanked on the left by two early 19th-century 2-light wrought iron casement windows, and a similar window in the 20th-century bay, which has a 2-light hipped dormer above. The roof is half-hipped.
