Description
Meredon Cottages is a row of cottages built in the early 20th century. They feature rendered cob walls and a thatched roof, with moulded brick stacks. The cottages are 1½ storeys tall and have an H-shaped design, consisting of three central bays and cross-wings at each end. The garden front includes doors to the left of the centre and in the right corner, both covered by hip-roofed tiled hoods supported by posts. The central bay and the wings have 3-light casement windows on both floors, while the other bays contain 2-light casements, all of which were originally leaded. The roof is half-hipped and includes eyebrow dormers above the central windows. On the ridge, there are four pairs of ornate moulded brick stacks positioned between the bays. This building is mentioned in Williams-Ellis's work 'Cob & Pisé Buildings'.
