Description
Standon Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, which was restored in 1981. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill and additional brickwork. The building consists of two bays, with an outshot bay to the right and a brick bay added to the left. It is one and a half stories high. There is a planked door located at the left end of the right 17th-century bay. Each bay and the outshot has a two or three-light cast iron casement window with lozenge panes, and the left bay has a segmental head. Above, there are three eyebrow dormers, each with similar casements. The roof is hipped and slopes down to the right, with a ridge piece and stacks at each end.
