Description

This is a house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick, incorporating blue headers, some tile hanging, and has an old plain tile roof. The original house is a two-bay, mansard-roofed structure with a further two bays added to the left, and a wing extending behind. A six-panel flush door is located at the right end, set within a simple doorcase featuring a rectangular fanlight and a moulded flat hood. A two-light, segmental-headed casement window is to the left of the door, and another in the centre of the addition. A string course of blue headers runs along the top of the original section. Above, there are four two-light casement windows. The later addition has a toothed cornice and higher eaves, with a 19th-century gabled dormer spanning the entire width, containing a two-light casement. A mansard roof is situated behind the dormer, with stacks positioned near the right end and externally on the left end. A lower, half-hipped roof covers the remainder of the building.
