Description
The Vicarage is a mid-19th century building located behind the church in Hursley. It is constructed of knapped flint with brick dressings and features an asymmetrical design with three gabled sections at the front and two gabled sections on the sides. The front elevation is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the right bay being smaller and projecting. Between the other bays is a 1½ storey porch that is open and features three-centred arches with hood moulds. The porch contains a top-lit door with Gothic glazing. Above the porch, there is a two-light window with round-headed casements and fixed lights above, set in a square head with a hood mould. The central bay has a large three-light window, while the left bay has similar blind openings. There is a 20th-century top-lit door at the right end of the central bay. The right bay projects slightly and has a garage door inserted on the ground floor, which is also dressed in matching brick. Above this, there is a two-light window. The gables are topped with brick coping, and the right gable features knelling. At the back, between the two left gables, there is a chimney with two stacks that have a united head.
