Description

This is a mid-18th century townhouse. It is constructed of a header bond brick with an old plain tile roof and has five bays, two storeys and an attic, built upon a raised basement. A plinth supports segmental headed basement windows, with two lights, except for the central window and the window on the left, which have side-set steps with wrought iron railings in front. A moulded brick string is present at ground floor level. The central doorway features a five-panel door and a semi-circular fanlight with intersecting ogee bar tracery. Above the door are plain pilasters supporting plain console brackets to an open pediment hood. There are nine 18th-century 12-pane sash windows with flush frames. A stepped cornice leads to projecting eaves. Twentieth-century two- and three-light gabled dormers have been added to the roof. Wide end stacks are also visible.
