Description
There are seven tomb chests for the White family located 10 meters north of the church tower, and two tombs for the Kebles situated 5 meters southwest of All Saints Church. These tomb chests date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, with some work completed in 1866 by W. Butterfield and Waller, the mason. They are made of Portland stone and 18th-century red granite, featuring brass inscriptions and limestone. The tomb chests include one from 1776 for Joseph White, several from 1820 and later for the White family, a late 19th-century ornate Gothic tomb for the White family, and others for William White from 1780, James White from 1809, Charles White from 1816, and an illegible White tomb. The tombs of John Keble, the Vicar, and his wife Charlotte are marked by a stone slab, with John Keble's tomb made of red granite featuring a relief cross, a bible, and a chalice, along with a brass inscription band. Charlotte's tomb is similar but made of limestone.
