Description
Pitt Farmhouse is a farmhouse with a core dating back to the 17th century, which has been encased and extended in the 18th century. The original timber-frame structure is now encased in brick, with an addition of flint and brick, topped by an old plain tile roof. The 17th-century part consists of three bays and a smoke bay, which has been encased in the 18th century. An additional bay was added to the right in the early 19th century, with a later wing behind, making it one and a half stories tall.
The front features a 20th-century pent-roofed brick porch that covers the central smoke bay. On the left, there are two bays with three-light segmental head casements, while the right of the central bay has a three-light casement and the right bay has a two-light casement. Above the left bay and the right of the central bay, there are gabled two-light dormers. The roof is half-hipped, with a stack located above the smoke bay and another at the left end of the ridge. Additionally, there is a 20th-century single-storey bay at the left end.
