Description
Coles Pond Farmhouse is a 17th-century cottage that was altered in the 18th century. It features a timber-frame structure with colourwashed brick infill and additions, topped with a thatched roof, while the addition has a tiled roof. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and consists of two bays, with the left bay extended around an external stack and a single-storey bay added to the end. There is a planked door in the extended part, sheltered by a rustic tile and timber porch. The right bay has a 2-light casement window, and the left bay has a 3-light casement window. Above each bay, there are irregular 2-light casements in eyebrow dormers. The roof is half-hipped with a ridge piece, and there are stacks with several flues at the left end of the ridge and another stack at the right end. The addition features a hipped roof and a small casement window. Associated farm buildings, including brick and thatch cowsheds and a weatherboarded thatched barn, are located 10 meters to the east.
