Description

Critchells Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has been altered in the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a timber-frame core with painted brick and a thatched roof. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has three bays. The front includes a planked door located under a thatched hood supported by timber posts to the left of the centre bay. Each bay has an irregular two-light casement window, and there is a blocked door in the right bay. Above the centre bay, there is a two-light eyebrow dormer. The roof is half-hipped with a ridge piece, and there is a stack over the door as well as an external stack at the right end.
