Description
South Lodge is an early 19th-century lodge constructed of stuccoed brick with a slate roof featuring a lead ridge. The building is a single storey with a square plan consisting of three bays. The central entrance has a two-panel door topped by a rectangular fanlight. Each end bay contains a 12-pane sash window. Flanking the door and at each end are full-height fluted Ionic pilasters with capitals, which support a moulded band beneath a frieze that features round pilasters. The lodge is topped with a heavy cornice and a low parapet wall, with pilasters extending up onto it. The hipped roof is crowned by a large central stack.
