Description
Pilgrim Croft Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century and was extended and encased in the 18th century. It is constructed of brick with an old plain tile roof, and the front is pebbledashed while the core is timber-framed. The main section is two stories high and has three bays, with a late 18th-century rear extension. To the left is a dairy, and to the right is a similar low addition. The front features a central top-lit six-panel door beneath a moulded 20th-century flat hood supported by posts. There are five 16-pane sash windows, with smaller ones on the first floor, and a central two-light flat-roofed dormer. The farmhouse has external end stacks. The dairy on the left has a hip roof, a planked door, and a casement window. On the right, there is a stable door under an outshot hood and a two-light casement window. The farmhouse is part of a good farm group that includes a small cottage, which is not quite listable, a stabling range of the same period, and a barn located in Wiltshire.
