Description

The east wall of the farmyard at Church Farm dates from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of English bond brickwork and stands approximately 2.3 meters high, topped with tile and brick-on-edge copings. The wall features buttresses on the external face, which have raking tops and offsets at the sill, stepping down the hill. There are later structures built against the wall on the farmyard side. A central wide opening is present, with the wall curving down both sides. The total length of the wall is approximately 65 meters, and it is attached to the corner of the barn.
