Description

This is a 17th-century carthouse located south of the barn at Church Farm. It is constructed with a timber frame and has split log facings, covered by a corrugated iron roof. The carthouse has four bays and a hipped roof. Inside, the roof structure features tie beam trusses with curved braces to jowled posts, queen struts, and a collar with a clasped purlin roof. Rafters are pegged to the purlins and plates. There is a full-width entrance at the east end.
